A Tinder Success

You know what? I love a Tinder success story! How did you go from complete strangers to infatuated with each other, waiting on their every message? That's everything I want to know... and everything I got to know when I first shot Uyen and Ryan's engagement photos. Their love for each other was so clear. We bonded over a shared love of the Vancouver Canucks and the scenery around us. So, when their wedding day came, I was even more excited because they already felt like family. That's the type of people these two were: welcoming, friendly, and absolutely the most fun!

Their wedding day started in the early afternoon at The Troutdale House. When I arrived, venue staff and coordinators were milling about, getting both the ceremony area ready, as well as the adjacent reception dining room. Everything looked so perfect, already. The ceremony area, with the dropping plants from the ceiling, the wood accents, the beautiful wood furniture inside. The men downstairs had vintage props for their photo ops, and the girls had gorgeous, more refined Bridgerton-style accent pieces.

There were many photo-ops on the grounds. From the beautiful, wood patio just to the side of the reception area, to the courtyard where we ended up taking their first look photos. Even still, there were little areas we weren't able to get to, this day! It was all too beautiful.

All of the surprises!

The bride wanted to include a first look with her dad -- and his reaction warmed my heart! DEFINITELY include this if you and your old man are the best of friends. He was so incredibly proud and happy all night; the way he looked at his little girl! And right after, we ran off to do the first look with her groom. My second positioned him out in the courtyard (which is a cute little secret spot out of the way for when guests arrive), and had her walk towards him! Lastly, the maid of honor surprised our bride with the sweetest gift ever: she had everyone write letters to her, and then created a scrapbook of beautiful memories with each person.
