Faith at the center
It's truly beautiful, as a wedding photographer, to be able to see the different ways that people incorporate the things they love most into their special day. These are the quiet moments that are documented, that are printed and framed, and passed every day when the photo is hung in the hallway. For R + A, they travelled from the Coast to join as one in the church they both grew up in, married by the person that knew them both (separately) the longest.

Even more beautiful is the connection that the officiant has with the couple.
I try to arrive 30-45 minutes early to Catholic ceremonies to speak to the priests about any rules I should follow. Many are similar in that you cannot go behind them nor can you touch the altar. Some of them allow you to
The courtyard photos
The ceremony ran a little late, but I stayed in Eugene just to make sure they had beautiful portraits inside this little courtyard at St. Mary's Catholic Church. They were having their reception in the Parrish inside, but the opportunity to snap some photos, just them two, was too good to pass up, even as everyone looked on!
