"We just want to celebrate with our loved ones."
In our first video consultation, offered to all couples getting married, Lily told me, "We just want everyone to come, eat, and drink!" And that is what they did.
Backcountry Wine Bar is a small, local bar in SE Portland, nestled beside Brides for a Cause, where Lily got her dress, and across from Akadi, if you ever want delicious food! It is a beautiful, vibey venue with lots of seating space for guests to mingle, offering a wide selection of wine to cheers with! Lily and Eduardo's family helped DIY many of the decorations, including the gorgeous floral triangle altar, as well as the vases on the tables. They were so sweet, they had printed out photos of their engagement shoot (that was included in their wedding package) and had them at each table! It was absolutely gorgeous.
The Celebration
Originally, the two did not want to have a ceremony, but they easily added it in. The long tables gave easy seating opportunity for their 40 guests to watch them comfortably. It made for the perfect seating plan and ease in capturing all of their reactions. Their ceremony was followed by the signing of their marriage license, and delicious food! Lily and Eduardo were such a delight, and had so much chatting with all of their friends, focusing on the important memories, and not just the photos. Aside from the posed portraits with family and friends, of course, their wedding was captured in a candid and documentary style, allowing them to prioritize their day and the feelings of togetherness with their loved ones.
